Stuck on Skyline Dr. in Sanpete County Utah
Last spring, I took my family on a fun 4x4 adventure up Ephraim Canyon to Skyline Drive. We were having an amazing time exploring the area, with most of the snow already melted on the dirt roads. However, as we made our way toward Spring City Canyon, we encountered a stubborn snow drift still blocking the path. Confident that my newly lifted, souped-up Jeep CRD Diesel 4x4 could power through, I hit the accelerator and charged right into the drift.
Well, that was a mistake. I got stuck almost instantly. I could have very easily gone around but where’s the fun it that!
Luckily, someone happened to drive by and offered to take me to a nearby campsite, where I could find people who could help me get out. Needless to say, I felt pretty silly. Sometimes, even with all the power in the world under the hood, it’s best to think things through first!
